The colours in this picture are peaceful and rather dreamlike. This theme is continued with the driftwood silhouette and the moon.

I like this picture because of the mystical appearance of the sea which was achieved using long exposure. The river and the rocks lead the eye out past the lighthouse into the open sea the sunset and the horizon. The colours also follow up through from the cold rocks to the warm sky.

I particularly liked this picture because of its simplicity. The blacks who are on top of the red sky reflected in the water is most pleasing and creates what I find a very pleasing photograph.

I think this is a really good photograph. I like colours and the combination of the smooth rocks and the misty flowing water. I also like the fact that you can just see the sun, right before it disappears below the horizon. I think the colours are particularly good as they fit nicely with the calm feel of the photograph.

the colours in this photograph fan out from the bottom right following a similar shape to the clouds. This works well as the backdrop for the line of silhouette trees.

this photograph is very impressive with the bridge leading round towards the buildings to the skyscrapers and bright glowing orange sky. The range of colours in this picture, browns and golds, adds to the impressiveness. Also there is a lot of detail in the bridge and skyscrapers which adds to the interest of the picture.

this photograph is successful because it is very simple in terms of colour and the contrast between the reflected sunlight and the shadows of the rocks produce a pleasing effect. The silhouettes of the rock in the background follow the same shapes go to as the surf. All of these things help to bring this photograph together, which is why I like it.

I like this picture because of the colours and the use of the silhouette of the seagull on the post which gives photograph a central point. Also, there is quite a nice effect produced because the seagull and the post are in sharp focus while the background is not.

this photograph is highly successful because it is very simple with the silhouette of the tree in front of the background gradient of the sky.

this is another picture that is particularly successful having used a silhouette against a sunset. Again it is the contrast between the interestingly shaped silhouette and the bright colours of the sunset that has worked so well.

the colours in this picture are very surreal which combined with the sharpness of the sun gives the impression of an alien world. I am however not so keen on this photograph as the colours have been significantly computer edited and now appear almost sickly.

I really like this photograph. The tropical colours fit in well with the silhouetted palm trees and the boat adds some needed extra activity to the scene. There is also a pleasing effect created by the grey clouds hanging in the sky behind the black silhouettes of the trees. This helps to bring the foreground and background together and frames the sun in the background.
